My New “Temp” Shop on the Web
October 09, 2008As many of you may know, I’ve been building an online shop and it’s been a long road trying to make sure everything works just right. In the meantime I’ve been selling items on eBay and up until about a little while ago, it has been great. However, eBay has gotten very greedy with their fees, oh and fees on top of fees. It’s been a struggle to keep an account there as a working artist and I’ve noticed that more and more people have pulled back from eBay because they just can’t afford it.
While I was having dinner with my dear friend Jenn and she said in passing that one of her friends told her about blujay.com. I had never heard of it before but Jenn claims that her friend loves it and does super well with selling! Then she told me the Golden word I had longed for.. it’s FREE! I was instantly hooked.
So, while I still build my shop here on my site, I will be focusing my efforts to selling my work on Blujay.com, as well as, some limited items on eBay. If you have a moment, please.. check out my blujay Store…
Thanks!

Betty’s 70th Birthday Present Final
September 25, 2008I finished Betty’s present. I am very pleased with the final result and the final three pieces will be framed in a row as they are displayed below. I dug back into my roots of watercoloring by blending colors to produce a muddy feel. Shapes overlap shapes leaving the eye to determine the structure and pieces of the boat.
Betty is a huge fan of seascapes and I thoroughly enjoyed painting this for her.
